This one is a bit different from the others, because the sleepers are the little ones. Jolteon lies calmly in a bed of autumn leaves beneath a starry night sky, eyes open and expression soft. Tucked up against its chest is Togepi, fast asleep in its shell, and a Rattata is curled up just behind them. Jolteon isn’t napping so much as keeping watch over everyone who is. It’s the quietest, gentlest bedtime scene in the whole stack.

The card’s identity is built around that kindness. Its Japanese name, やさしいサンダース, translates to “Gentle Thunders.” The gameplay matches: Pulse Guard prevents any damage of 30 or more done to Light Jolteon during the opponent’s next turn. A guardian who can’t be easily hurt is exactly who you want standing over a pile of sleepers. It’s also a piece of Pokémon TCG history: Neo Destiny introduced Light Pokémon, and it was the final English expansion with the 1st Edition symbol.
